Deep Freeze Dip a Huge Success

A dreary Saturday full of wind and rain didn't dampen the spirits of a few hundred fans and supporters that came out to cheer on the 40 individuals who took the plunge in the first annual Deep Freeze Dip this afternoon. Thanks to everyone who participated—jumpers, donators, supporters and fans—for making the 1st Annual Deep Freeze Dip a HUGE sucess! Because of you we were able to raise over $40,000 for the Southwest Minnesota Honor Flight, which will help to send our area Veterans to view the WWII memorial in Washington, D.C.!

What started out as a small idea became very grand in the less-than-2-week timeframe from the Deep Freeze Dip's inception. We had an overwhelming response of people who wanted to help raise pledges and take the jump, and an even more overwhelming response from area people and companies who made donations. Raising over $40,000 in less than 2 weeks is nothing short of incredible! Thanks to everyone that took the Dip in the cold water at Sunset Park at Lake Okabena, and thanks to everyone who participated in any way, shape or form to make this event such a success, we'll be doing it again next year!
