Feedlot producers and allied ag business staff are reminded that registrations for

Feedlot Forum 2011 are due no later than January 19. Registration ($20/person)

may be made by calling the Sioux County Extension Office at 712-737-4230.

Gregg Doud, chief economist for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, will

discuss legislative issues impacting cattlemen, such as ethanol tariffs, beef exports

and environmental regulations. Kevin Good, market analyst with Cattle Fax, will

present market outlook and situation for beef producers, sharing his forecast

for cattle and grain prices. Other topics include a discussion of issues with

medium-sized feedlots and the tri-state air quality research project. Feedlot

Forum 2011 will be January 25 from 8:45 a.m to 2:45 p.m. at the Corporate

Center in Sioux Center. Be sure to call in your registration by January 19.
