The America’s Farmers Grow Communities program, presented by the Monsanto Fund. This program gives eligible farmers the opportunity to win $2,500 for their favorite local nonprofit organization, including the United Way. The purpose of the program is to help grow rural America, one community at a time.

The America’s Farmers Grow Communities program presents a fantastic opportunity for local United Ways like ours to combat hunger in the communities we serve. And as such, I’d ask that you consider promoting the program to any farmer or farm organization you may know.

For more information about the program, please visit www.growcommunities.com.

America’s Farmers Grow Communities is a program, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, to support farming communities by offering farmers the opportunity to register to win $2,500 for their favorite community charity, including the United Way. For every farmer that applies for the program, which ends December 31, 2010, Monsanto Fund will give $1 to local United Way chapters to help feed the hungry in our community.

If you’re a farmer, we strongly encourage you to register for the program at www.growcommunities.com. It only takes a few minutes to register, and your registration will assist our efforts to combat hunger. If you’re not a farmer, we urge you to share this information with those you know that do farm. It’s an easy way to do a lot of good in our community.
