Someone will win a basket of locally grown goodies at the Downtown Worthington Farmers Market during National Farmers Market Week Aug. 1-7.
Twenty-seven markets throughout the state have signed on to the “Eat Local Challenge” sponsored by the Minnesota Grown Program and the Minnesota Farmers Market Association. People may pick up a Minnesota Grown window cling or bumper sticker at the Tuesday night market and display it on their vehicle. The driver of one of the vehicles spotted with a bumper sticker Tuesday, Aug. 3 could win a large basket of local produce.
The Downtown Worthington Farmers Market is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays at 10th Street and Second Avenue.
