The Cottonwood County Environmental Office and Greater Blue Earth River Basin Alliance will present a Value of Manure workshop on Thursday, Jan. 21 at the Cottonwood County Environmental Office at 41385 Highway 71, north of Windom.
The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to noon.
There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration by Friday is required because space is limited. Refreshments will be provided.
While commercial fertilizer prices have remained high, utilizing manure as a main crop nutrient source has become more popular in farming operations. This workshop is for livestock producers utilizing or wanting to sell manure generated from their operation, crop producers interested in purchasing manure for their operation and fertilizer cooperatives interested in knowing the fertilizer replacement value of manure.
To register, or for more information, contact the Cottonwood County Environmental Office at 507-831-2060.
